Resolutions

As I try to think of some the traditional resolutions I normally write (lose weight, read more, get to bed on time, and the list goes on), I wonder why do I want to think of things that I work on for only a month or two and the go by the wayside. Instead, I really want to focus on a few things that I really, REALLY want to work on.

The first and foremost is to be the best wife and mother I truly can be. This means that I don't necessarily yell at Chance when he ask for a new roll of paper towels, even though he can look in the cabinet just as well as I can ;) Or lay with Kathryn and read her one more story, even though I have already read two. (See resolution to get in bed on time each night)

I also really want to be a better steward of our finances. Now that I am going back to school, we will have to tighten things up a bit, but I know we can do it and in the long run it will be well worth it. On that note, I know I have really put the work into this school thing. It will be a lot of hard work, but I just have to remind myself that it is only 14 months and then I will have my Master's Degree.

So there they are. These are a few things that I really want to work on and stick to. I will hold myself accountable and if you are reading this you hold me accountable too. I am going to try my typical ones that everyone makes every year as well, but I won't beat myself up if I am not working on them in April.

ENJOY 2009!
