SO...we got the snow they were calling for. We were excited to get out and play in in because it wasn't as cold this go round. We had our sleds for some time, so we were ready to break them in. I had to bundle Collin up so that he would stay warm. Kathryn was wearing 2 complete layers plus her coat. We started at the front door and worked our way down to the back yard. Kathryn started at the top of our hill and she kept right on going. I kept screaming at her to roll off, but she wouldn't listen to me so she ended up in the trees. She was smart enough to lay down, but her hair still got caught. She was a trooper about it, but she didn't want to go down anymore. We played in the front yard a little and then went back in to get warm. It was a fun morning.

So they are predicting a huge snow storm to move in tonight. Generally in Tennessee if they predict snow everyone races out to the grocery store and buys everything on the shelves. Well the snow is not what really sent me out. I have not done any serious shopping in over a month for fear we would finally close on our house and we would be stuck moving a bunch of food. I had had enough, so I finally ventured out to see what I could find. Luckily I was able to find every thing on my list and then some. Now we probably won't get any snow, but if we do we are very prepared at the McCormick house!

Tonight was a little tough. Kathryn really did not want to listen and she really did not want to go to bed. She fought and fought until finally we just screamed at each other and finally she decided to lay down. She was asleep within about 10 minutes. I am not sure why she just won't lay down and close her eyes when she is tired, because the minute she is still she is usually right asleep. So this on top of the fact that we are still all four sharing a bedroom had me dreaming of the beach. Maybe, just maybe we will get back there soon!

Fridays are generally very laid back at school. They have been working hard all week and they need a little down time. This includes doing centers that aren't always put out. The students really enjoy doing different things. They love the car/dinosaur counters. I also am participating in a study and I needed real life pictures, so I thought this one would be perfect since all of the children respond to them and they can be used as an incentive.

This is Kathryn's second year of dance. While she enjoys it, sometimes it is a fight to get her to go on Thursday nights. If you are good and listen to the dance teacher you get 2 stamps. This is really K's favorite part. She has been known to not receive 2 stamps on some nights, so I always make a big deal when she does. She is so proud to show me what she pick and tell me why. While I heard her name called quite a bit, I think her teacher was being kind since the girls had a two week break. Kathryn picked a tiara and a heart and she even wanted to practice some when she got home. Good Job Kathryn!

So starting in early August, hunting shows start playing on my TV. There is really nothing more annoying to me then hearing grown men whispering at the top of their lungs. I get so annoyed by the way hunting kind of just over takes our house. But none the less it is something that Chance loves, so I try not to give him to much grief over it. Sunday is the close of this season and while Chance enjoys it, I am glad for the break. He is planning on staying out in the woods all day tomorrow and shoot as many deer as they see. Because of the all day in the woods, the camo has thrown up in the game room. I am going to enjoy the short break from hunting.

So I am not really one to get into the lottery craze, but for 355 MILLION dollars, its worth a try. We were talking about all of the things we would do with the money if we won and we had BIG plans for it all. I was so into this lottery that I stayed up until 10:30 (for those that really know me, this is really late for me) to check the numbers. Needless to say, we only hit one number out of the 30 that I had. I was bummed, but it was exciting for a little while.
